EUROPE/CZECH REPUBLIC - New website in view of the centenary of the PMS: 100 days to 100 years

Prague (Agenzia Fides) - On 11 July, the feast of St. Benedict, the patron of Europe, to who for centuries prayed with confidence for help and intercession many missionaries, the Pontifical Mission Societies (PMS ) in the Czech Republic officially launched their new website. The portal provides a large amount of information, so that those interested in missionary countries to help the members of the PMS, as well as occasional visitors, may find all they need.
According to information sent to Fides Agency from the National Directorate of the PMS, the presentation of new web pages is linked to the anniversary of 100 years from the beginning of the PMS in the country (1912-2012). This important anniversary will be celebrated solemnly in the Czech Republic on the occasion of World Mission Day in October, from which divides us approximately 100 days. In the new PMS site one can find, for example, in how many countries, how and where the PMS help and which activities you could engage in and support the mission in that way, it also provides an overview of the latest mission materials, not to mention a 'large photo, video and audio gallery. The new site is among the most modern in the environment of religious websites, and is clearly linked to social networks and the latest technologies, such as tablets and mobile phones.
