Wednesday, 21 December 2011

Doro (Agenzia Fides) - More than 20 thousand people have escaped from the bombs and violence in the northern Sudanese state of the Blue Nile to go to the refugee camp in the village of Doro, southern Sudan, in search of food and safe shelter. However, in this camp a thousand people arrive every day and so far have not received any kind of help. They sleep under the bushes, have nothing to eat and child malnutrition increases. Some children have diarrhea and fever, and they continue not to have anything to eat, they will surely die of hunger. Many families are forced to leave their camps and their homes because of war, they are trying to go back to get something to eat. (AP) (Agenzia Fides 21/12/2011)
