AFRICA/SOUTH AFRICA - Rev. Gregory Joseph van Dyk appointed national director of the Pontifical Mission Societies

Vatican City (Fides Service) - Cardinal Crescenzio Sepe, Prefect of the Congregation for the Evangelisation of Peoples has, 8 July 2004, appointed National Director of the Pontifical Mission Societies in South Africa for a five year term (2004-2009), Reverend Gregory Joseph van Dyk, of the diocesan clergy Bethlehem (S. Africa). The new national director, was born in Cape Town and ordained for the diocese of Bethlehem (S. Africa) in 1982. He has been until now diocesan director of the Pontifical Mission Societies as well as Rector of the diocesan Marian Shrine. (S.L.) (Agenzia Fides 1/9/2004; Righe 7; Parole 90)
