AMERICA/PERU - Cuzco prepares for HCA Missionary Congress on August 21

Wednesday, 2 June 2010

Cuzco (Agenzia Fides) - "We missionary children sow hope for making a better place" is the theme of the Missionary Congress of the Pontifical Society of the Holy Childhood Association (also known as “Missionary Childhood”), to be held this coming August 21 in the Archdiocese of Cuzco, Peru. According to information sent to Fides, the immediate preparation for the Congress began Sunday, May 23, during the celebration of Day of Missionary Childhood.
The Archdiocese and the city have lived with joy the event that the Church was organized with the aim of helping children discover the face of God in each of the children of the world, especially the most disadvantaged, to sow hope and create a better world for all. Every parish prays especially for children and young people, that they can be protected from anything that goes against their innocence and their capacity for development.
On this day, they also began preparing for an HCA Missionary Congress planned for this August 21, organized by the Pontifical Mission Societies of the Archdiocese of Cuzco, under the leadership of Fr. Antonio Arias Cruz, with the participation of all the local Catholic schools, the Diocesan Office of Catholic Education, educational institutions, parishes, youth groups, and missionaries.
