Wednesday, 21 April 2010

Rome (Agenzia Fides) – On Sunday, 25 April, the IX General Chapter of the Society of Saint Paul opens in Ariccia (Rome). The Society of Saint Paul is a religious Congregation founded by Blessed James Alberione with the mission of evangelization in the multifaceted areophagus of social communication ranging from mass media to multimedia and the internet network with its derivatives. 65 Paulines, from 28 countries of the five continents, will reflect at Casa Divin Maestro (Rome) on the theme: “Rekindle the gift you have received. Creative fidelity to hundred years of Pauline charism”. Founded in 1914, the Society of Saint Paul prepares itself to cross the first century of its existence. It is in this context that the twenty days (25 April – 15 May 2010) will be lived. On the one hand, it will provide a vigilant outlook of their roots so as to revisit and remain firm on the footsteps of the Founder. On the other hand it gives new vitality to the Congregation in consonance with the “signs of the times” - in front of the new challenges that today provoke the Pauline mission. To the newly elected Superior General and six General Councilors will be entrusted the program guidelines for the next six years (2010-2016). (SL) (Agenzia Fides 21/4/2010)
