Hohhot (Agenzia Fides) – Living Lent by the grace of God, the Heavenly Father's love for us, we are blessed, meeting Jesus in your life, reaching the house of the Lord: these are the topics that were addressed by Fr. John Hou Zhi Wen addressed along with more than 300 faithful of the Cathedral of the Diocese of Hohhot dedicated to the Sacred Heart, in Mongolia, during the Lenten formation course that was held February 24-28. To help the faithful live Lent and in preparation for Easter, the Cathedral invited Fr. Hou, priest of the Diocese of Wu Meng who often follows the spiritual leadership of the faithful, to take this course. Considering the simplicity of the faithful and their spiritual preparation rather elementary, the priest made a close connection to the spirituality with everyday life, offering the parables of Jesus: "We are like the fig tree that Jesus had planted in the Church and is now expected to produce fruit. So it is for us, uniting us all together. We take care of the Church, so that the land can be fertile and productive." (NZ) (Agenzia Fides 11/03/2010)
