Monday, 18 January 2010

Port-au-Prince (Agenzia Fides) - “It has been confirmed that all Spiritans (CSSp), except one seminarian Stephane Douge, have survived the earthquake in Haiti,” Agenzia Fides has been told by Fr. John McFadden CSSp, General Secretary of the Holy Spirit Congregation. “This has been confirmed after direct contact was made with the Superior, Fr. Paulin Innocent, who himself survived the collapse of part of College St. Martial. Other Spiritans in Cap Haitien, Cote Plage and Furcy have also survived. We give thanks to God that so many of our confreres have survived this terrible disaster and pledge our prayers and support for the rescue operations and the remaining pastoral agents who now have to minister to their people in such horrific conditions.” (SL) (Agenzia Fides 18/1/2010)
