AMERICA/ARGENTINA - Preparing for the First Missionary Congress of the Diocese of Moron: missionary triduum to prepare for Christmas

Saturday, 19 December 2009

Moron (Agenzia Fides) – On Sunday, December 20, at 12pm, the Cathedral of Moron will hold a Mass with a "sending" of missionary groups, as an opportunity to thank the members of these groups for the effort made to bring the gospel beyond the borders of the diocese, to make them feel they are not alone, and to express publicly that are being sent on the part of the entire Church. Among the proposals for preparing for the Mission Congress of the diocese, scheduled for May 21, 22 and 23 of next year, is the realization of a missionary gesture to be done at the end of Advent. For this reason, the diocesan missionary animation team has proposed a “Triduum” for urging every community to go on a mission at this time," so that the good news of Jesus' birth will reach as many of our brothers as possible." The Triduum is planned for the days of December 21, 22 and 23, and consists in reading a passage from the Bible and doing a meditation each day. The first day, everyone is invited to contemplate Mary; on the second, the shepherds; and on the third, the Savior. (CE) (Agenzia Fides 19/12/2009)
