AMERICA/VENEZUELA - “Scientific development at the service of human life. Proposals for health and assistance policies.” 15th International Science and Life Congress

Caracas (Agenzia Fides) –July 21 to 23, 2010, Caracas will host the XV International Congress of Science and Life, which will address the theme: “Scientific development at the service of human life. Proposals for health and assistance policies.” After welcoming participants, the Congress will begin with a conference on “Conscientious objection in research and healthcare." The topics to be discussed will concern "welfare policies and health services: public and private management for justice and equality", "Education with a life ethic"; "Bioethics and the environmental crisis." The last day will feature a conference entitled: "Is there a right to not be vaccinated? The globalization of health care and its implications ", with speeches on “Power, democracy and bioethics: bioethics committees,” “Economic growth and social progress and human,” and “The future of the culture of dependency.” The Congress will conclude with the conference on "The ideological conditioning of sexual and reproductive health."
