Vatican City (Agenzia Fides) - The XXIV International Conference of the Pontifical Council for Health Pastoral Care just ended at the Vatican. This year, the theme was: “Ephphatha! The Deaf Person in the Life of the Church." It was attended by over 500 experts, religious and non, of which more than 90 were deaf. At the end of the Conference, the President of the Dicastery, Bishop Zygmunt Zimoski, briefly announced the title of the next edition of the Conference which will be: "For a more balanced and humane health care.” (AP) (Agenzia Fides 23/11/2009)
