VATICAN - New Members, Experts, and Auditors for the Second Special Assembly for Africa of the Synod of Bishops

Vatican City (Agenzia Fides) – The Holy Father Benedict XVI appointed the members of the Second Special Assembly for Africa of the Synod of Bishops, which will take place October 4-25 in the Vatican. Among them are: Cardinals Angelo Sodano, Péter Erdő, and André Vingt-Trois; Archbishops Robert Sarah, Secretary of the Congregation for the Evangelization of Peoples, Henri Teissier, Jaime Pedro Gonçalves, Orlando B. Quevedo, Luigi Bressan, Raymundo Damasceno Assis, Henryk Hoser; and Bishops John Anthony Rawsthorne, Peter William Ingham, Jean-Pierre Bassène, Giorgio Bertin; and Fathers Raymond Bernard Goudjo, Juvenalis Baitu Rwelamira, and Emmanuel Typamm. The Superior General of the Synod of Bishops, with the approval of the Supreme Pontiff, has appointed the Experts and Auditors. (SL) (Agenzia Fides 24/9/2009)
