AFRICA/MOROCCO - AECAM, Catholic Campus Ministry in Morocco, unites university students in the country

Thursday, 14 May 2009

Rabat (Agenzia Fides) – Throughout the university cities of Morocco, Catholic youth from the various countries of sub-Saharan Africa come together not only to celebrate Sunday Mass, but also to participate in the life of the parish community, to prepare the liturgy (songs, readings, intentions, altar servers), and to share their Christian faith and their experience of student life in Morocco.
In order to coordinate these initiatives, the “Aumônerie des étudiants catholiques au Maroc, AECAM” (Catholic Campus Ministry of Morocco) was created. In each one of the university cities, a priest assists the local group of AECAM, while on the regional level, during the academic year, there are periodical meetings of the delegates that allow them to share their hopes and joys.
AECAM recently launched a new website: www.jeuneskatoma.org. (LM) (Agenzia Fides 14/5/2009)
