Hong Kong (Agenzia Fides) -Hong Kong diocese gives special attention to ensuring that children take an active part in catechesis and liturgy. Easter Sunday is always special for children in Hong Kong diocese. During a Children’s Mass the children take part in an Easter Gospel Play. They are the ones who announce the Good news of the Risen Lord to all present. At the offertory the children brings gifts made with their own hands. At the sign of peace they run to exchange peace and receive a blessing from the Bishop. In his homily this year Bishop Zen said: “In a society dominated by consumerism, Catholic families and Catholic children can be witnesses of authentic love for all people and this is the special gift which the Risen Lord offers humanity”.
