Vatican City (Agenzia Fides) - The Holy Father, Pope Benedict XVI, on 2 February 2008, accepted the resignation of the pastoral government of the Apostolic Vicariate of Puerto Maldonado (Peru), presented Bishop Juan José Larrañeta Olleta, O.P., in conformity with the Code of Canon Law, canon 401 § 2, who is succeeded by Bishop Francisco González Hernández, O.P., Coadjutor of the same Apostolic Vicariate.
