Shi Jia Zhuang (Agenzia Fides) -Xiao Dian parish in the diocese of Tai Yuan, has decoded to give new impulse to evangelisation following the example of Xi Kai Cathedral in the diocese of Tian Jin. Xi Kai Cathedral has launched an annual programme of evangelisation on themes connected with initiatives of the universal Church and the local community. In view of the Year of St Paul which starts in June, a new programme of evangelisation will be launched because society today is in many ways as pagan as in the times of St Paul. Faith bulletin published in He Bei reported on the Year of St Paul programme launched by Xi Kai Cathedral. Inspired by this idea, members of the Propagation of the Faith group and the Charity Group of Xiao Dian parish paid a visit to the Catholics in Xi Kai. Sharing experience with this sister community they identified better ways to promote evangelisation in their parish as well as ideas for a Year of St Paul programme, liturgical celebrations, prayer meetings, a missionary exhibition, material to distribute locally to increase awareness of the Year of St Paul, announced by the Holy Father Pope Benedict XVI.
