ASIA/TAIWAN - Preparing Advent and Christmas: Tai Pei archdiocese holds Day of Formation for those responsible for organising catechesis and catechists

Tai Pei (Agenzia Fides) - “Celebrating Advent and Christmas” was the theme chosen for the 2nd Formation Day for catechists and for those responsible organising catechism held 17 November at the Catechism Centre of the archdiocese of Tai Pei, which promoted and organised the event. According to Tai Pei Christian Life Weekly , the Day was for those responsible for catechesis and catechists in the local parishes. The sub title was: “Helping parents, Sunday School children, adolescents and young people to prepare their hearts to welcome Jesus who comes”. For the occasion a new book “Celebrating Advent ” was presented. The catechetical text has chapters on different topics: didactic catechism programme for Advent and Christmas; Advent and Christmas Prayers; Advent and Christmas spiritual activity; suggestions for a Christmas Play, Advent and Christmas games, hymns and other material.
