Hong Kong (Agenzia Fides) - Cardinal Jozef Tomko, former prefect of the Congregation for the Evangelisation of Peoples led the annual retreat organised by the Catholic diocese of Hong Kong 5-11 November on the theme "Spirituality of the priesthood and the priest". According to Hong Kong diocesan bulletin Kong Ko Bao during his pastoral visit to Hong Kong, Cardinal Tomko went to various communities and parishes to offer words of encouragement and support. He also presided a solemn Mass for the inmates of the Pastoral Centre for the Disabled on November 4. Former president until October 1st 2007, of the Pontifical Committee for International Eucharistic Congresses the Cardinal gave a talk to the lay Catholics of Hong Kong on the Eucharist.
